FrameSave

Twitter video downloader for public X posts

FrameSave is a browser-first way to save videos from public X/Twitter posts. Paste a post URL, resolve the media, and open the direct MP4 link in Safari or Chrome.

How to download a video from X/Twitter

  1. Copy the URL of a public X/Twitter post that contains a video.
  2. Paste the URL into FrameSave.
  3. Choose the video result and open or download the MP4 file.
  4. If the browser opens the video instead of downloading it, use Save Video from the browser menu.

Why direct links matter

Video downloads can be heavy. FrameSave avoids sending video files through its own server, which keeps the site lightweight and reduces unnecessary privacy and bandwidth concerns. The browser connects to the original media URL and handles the download itself.

Quality choices

When X provides multiple variants, FrameSave can show direct video options so you can choose what works best.

Works on mobile

On mobile Safari, opening the direct video link is often more reliable than forcing a download dialog.

Public media only

FrameSave cannot access private posts, protected accounts, or media that X no longer makes available.
